Tech 4 Conservation is pleased to share that we've received an honorable mention in the 2024 Conservation Technology Award, presented by Ai2's EarthRanger program. This recognition highlights the growing impact of technology solutions in wildlife conservation worldwide.
We extend our warmest congratulations to this year's award recipients: Rainforest Foundation US and the Scottish Oceans Institute at the University of St Andrews. Their groundbreaking work - from empowering Indigenous communities to protect rainforests through innovative monitoring systems, to developing AI-powered acoustic tools for cetacean conservation - exemplifies how technology can transform conservation practice.
We're honored to be named alongside other remarkable organizations receiving honorable mentions: Fundación Oceanogràfic, Help for Sustainable Development, Lion Rangers, Taronga Conservation Society Australia, and Wildlife Protection Solutions. Each of these organizations demonstrates the diverse ways technology can support wildlife protection and conservation management.
"Being recognized among such innovative conservation technology initiatives reflects the increasing importance of accessible, effective tech solutions in conservation," said Maureen Reilly. "We're grateful to our partners and supporters who continue to guide our work in making technology more accessible to conservation practitioners worldwide."
